Greetings faithful fantasy bloggees! I'm back from the Greater Phila. Christian Writers Conference. It was a good conference this year, fully packed and lots of fun. I'm preparing my family for vacation right now and will be leaving tomorrow for a week. When I return, we'll get back to our fantasy discussions. I've missed them.
Danielle needs help with portraying a scene and characters. We'll definitely get into that. And if you want to talk about anything else, please leave a comment and we'll get to them, as well.
I'm hoping to welcome several new fantasy writers! And you know who you are. :) Please let me know you're here.
I'll be doing some interviews with other fantasy authors now and then and am looking forward to that.
Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Talk to you soon!

My question: If you have a girl as a main character, and a boy as a supporting character (similar age) do they HAVE to fall in love?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your site. Nice meeting you again at the conference!
@Rachel: I know you're not asking me, but I thought I'd just chime in with my answer...no way! But that's just my opinion. :0)
ReplyDeletePam: Looking forward to the interviews and more fantasy discussion!! Have fun on vacation!
Hi, Ms. Pam!
ReplyDeleteThis is Oli. I was the girl at the writer's conference that told you about Gail Carson Levine's blog. ^_^ Hope you enjoy her blog as much as I do. Can't wait for the discussions. I'll be around to read them, and also anxiously awaiting for your own fantasies to be published (I'm going to keep my eyes peeled, as is my friend Michy).

ReplyDeleteThank goodness they do *not*. But..rarely does it work out that way. Seemingly no one in their tweens and teens try to honor and love the folks of the opposite gender as it tells us youths to in 2(maybe first?) Timothy, As brothers and sisters. Actually, just think, you can start a trend! :D Friendships can indeed be so much more powerful than "romantic attachments".
I agree. Guys and girls do not have to be involved romantically. I have several guys friends right now. I've always had guy friends - brothers - and I'm thankful for them. Not every person of the opposite sex is attracted to each other in that way.
ReplyDeleteHeather and Oli - I'm totally looking forward to your participation!
